We are a new, inclusive and supportive group and we are thoroughly enjoying this exciting style of unaccompanied music. You really don’t have to be an expert singer – just be prepared to be enthusiastic and to have a go! You’ll always be surrounded by other singers
so you won’t ever have to sing on your own.
A typical group session starts with vocal warmups to get our voices in gear, followed by some rounds and chants to explore simple harmony. Our repertoire is still developing and currently includes sea shanties and well known pop songs. We hope to include some
madrigals and traditional songs – but I am open to your suggestions so please come along with your ideas.
A Cappella has a rich repertoire and I like to think there is something for everyone.

We meet every third Wednesday from 2-4 pm at Southwell WI Hall, Sheppards Row, Southwell NG25 0AB.
Our annual fees are £20 currently and this payment covers the hiring of the WI Hall and the purchase of some music.
Our meeting dates for 2025 are :
