There are plenty of opportunities to go on trips and outings. Some of these are organised by individual groups, whilst others are organised by the Social Committee.
Since 2011 outings to a variety of different places and events have taken place. These have included: Highgrove and Westonbirt Arboretum, Cambridge, Blists Hill, The National Memorial Arboretum, Thursford Christmas Spectacular, Bletchley Park, Saltaire, Blenheim Palace, Castle Howard, The Black Country Living Museum, Newmarket and Anglesey Abbey, Wightwick Manor and Old Moseley Hall, The Houses of Parliament, Oxford and Tutbury Castle. Booking takes place through the year at the Monthly Meeting Trips Table or via the booking form available in Newsline each month, or here on the website. Current planned trips are shown in the panel on the right. Details of outings and social events with the contact details of the trip organiser are published in Newsline and are available at the Monthly Meeting. In order to secure a place on an advertised trip you are asked to complete an application form. This can be obtained either from the trip organiser, in Newsline or by downloading a Trips booking form from the forms page by clicking here. Some of the coach companies that we use for our outings will accept folding buggies, light weight wheel chairs and/or wheeled walking frames. So, if you use one of these mobility devices and would like to go on one of the outings, please check with the person organising the trip to inform them of your requirements. If you plan to go on a trip please see the Guidelines for Trippers by clicking here. |
