His talk will cover a wide variety of subjects from the past relating to Nottinghamshire including Royal visits, weather, industry, sport, WW1 & WW2 and many other topics. On 7th June, Dr Cathy McAteer talked about Russia, its people and history in the context what is currently going on out there. On 5th July Emma Sheardown (Para Olympian) inspired us with "There’s No Such Word as Can’t". At our August monthly meeting at the Leisure Centre our speaker was Jack Hibbert from Notts Fire & Rescue Service who delivered a lively presentation on the danger of fires in the house and how to avoid them.
