Provide a social occasion through the common interest in walking in the countryside.
Cater for those interested in walking 6-7½ miles.
Where and when:
Walks take place on the 4th Wednesday of each month, starting promptly at 10.00am.
Members should try and get to the start location by 9.45am.
There are a variety of circular walks in the Nottinghamshire area.
Distance/Terrain
6-6½ miles in Winter and 6½-7½ miles during Summer months.
Walks may be hilly with stiles en-route.
How the group works:
Group members are encouraged to lead walks.
Walk leaders are expected to survey the walk and contact the group leader with details of location, distance, difficulty, pub/cafe or packed lunch, parking availability.
The group leader will contact members with details 1-2 weeks prior to the walk.
Members are encouraged to share transport when ever possible
