Our monthly meeting normally takes place in the Southwell Leisure Centre (postcode NG25 0LG), off the A612 Nottingham Road and next to the Minster School, between 10.00 am and 12.00 midday on the first Tuesday of the month.
If there is any change to the date of any of these meetings, it will be announced in Newsline and on the website well in advance. "Last minute" changes, if important (e.g. snow/speaker cancellations) will be sent as an email to all members.
Once a month, throughout the year, we hold these meetings to which all Southwell u3a members are invited.

We are very keen to ensure that all newly joined members, prospective members and visitors experience a warm welcome to the monthly meetings. One of the ways that we do this is by having a team of ‘Welcomers’ whose role is to meet and greet members when they arrive at the meeting, to show them around and to generally help them over the daunting experience of joining us for the first time and of arriving in a crowded ‘buzzing’ hall and not seeing anyone familiar.
Job Vacancy
We are looking for an Assistant Speaker-Finder to work with John Cook who researches and assigns each of the speakers at the monthly meetings.
As you can see by clicking on the link above John has already organised a programme for 2025, so you would have plenty of time to liaise with him and to learn from his experience before 2026 needs to be considered!
