The aims of the Film Appreciation Group are to watch mostly challenging, sometimes radical films, followed by the opportunity to discuss and analyse the film as an art form. We do occasionally see a mainstream popular film.
 
We meet to discuss the selected film between 2.00pm – 4.00pm on the last Wednesday of the month in a member's home.

A  series of questions are used to provide us with a loose framework to structure our discussion. These can can be seen by clicking here. 

The films seen since the group began and the star rating the group has awarded to each can be seen by clicking here. 

At the end of each meeting the group selects a film for the following month from the programme at the Broadway Cinema in Nottingham.  Individual group members make their own arrangements to watch the film, either on their own or with other group members.
