Whole Group Pieces (4 or 5 parts):
Introduction to the Recorder: Rik has an adapted piece of around 2 minutes, which introduces each instrument in turn, so listeners can distinguish descant / treble / tenor / bass+counterbass, finishing with all 4 in harmony: Easy end of intermediate difficulty.
Pachelbel's Canon: Jonathan has a shortened version for Descant / Treble / Tenor / Bass. Harder end of intermediate difficulty
Trios:
Duets: Rik has Pitt's duet books for C instruments (Descant and/or Tenor), willing to share and play with a 2nd person - a wide range of pieces including:
Book 3: "American Patrol", "Habenera" from Bizet's Carmen, Purcell's "Fear no danger", Borodin's "Polovtsian Dances", Gershwin "Summertime" and MacDowell's "To a Wild Rose". These range from easier intermediate to harder intermediate.
Rik also has Pitt's duets for Descant and Tenor, mainly beginner to early intermediate
Solo:
Looking further ahead, we have loads more familiar and possible new music to choose from once we are back playing together - some for the whole group, some for smaller ensembles, some accessible to all of us, and some that will challenge our more advanced players.
