The ukulele is a great instrument to play together, and this group provides the opportunity to do it. We are a self-help group, and no previous ability is required, although you will need your own instrument (these can be bought quite cheaply).
Martin Stott - Group Leader
We have long-since resumed our activities "post lockdown", and are back to our former standards! We have enjoyed stints at the Southwell u3a Open Days annually in the Market Place, and at the u3a Christmas Parties each years. The group meets twice a month, on the second and fourth Thursday in each month, from 10am to 12 noon in the Full Moon pub at Morton. There is no charge, but you are expected to purchase a coffee from the pub (currently £2).
The Group has played at Southwell Court Care Home and Southwell WI several times, and being well received has been asked to visit again!
