Please e-mail Ian if you are planning to be at this meeting, and/or planning to be at the U3A day on 15th August.
Thanks to Rik for leading the meeting last week, when there were 6 members present.
Now that the legal restrictions on meetings have gone, we will still take some more limited precautions, both to satisfy government recommendations and be responsible; and partly to reassure us all. I cannot find any revised guidance or risk assessments on the national or local U3A websites. The national site still contains the stage 3 risk assessment, which I used before, so I have revised it and emailed this out to members.
In summary, I am suggesting that we maintain an element of social distancing when playing, and ventilation. Members are welcome to take further precautions individually such as not joining in the refreshments, and wearing a mask when not playing, if you wish.
Rik and Frances have volunteered to provide the optional refreshments, thank you.
The arrangements will be as follows:
A. Ed + Ian will meet at the OSR after 2 pm on the day to see that chairs are laid out at least 1m. apart, and clear access, ventilation and sanitiser are in place.
B. If you wish to attend on 28th, please study the new risk assessment on your email: read part 1 and decide whether you are content to attend on those terms; and consider part 2 (which is for you).
C. If you wish to be there, please reply to Ian by e-mail.
D. Please follow the requested precautions and guidance, and arrive not before 2.20.
The music will continue to be as per the repertoire list in preparation for the 15th August Open Day at Southwell
For this session, we will start with English Country Garden Then Ballet and Bergerette
followed by Corelli's Giga and Susato's Mourisque
and Skye Boat Song and Greensleeves
We will end with: Gervaise Allemande and Bransle, Praetorius La Volta, and All in a Garden Green
